| Oval pipe and
fittings are primarily used for air distribution runs in interior
walls to convey conditioned air to upper stories. The slim
profile allows for use in standard stud wall cavities and in joist
spaces between floors. The nominal size of oval has a cross
sectioned area that is less than that of the corresponding size of
pipe. Review both of these charts to make sure of correct
sizing. Typical application; round takeoff to round pipe
from duct. The round pipe makes a transition to oval by
using a 859. Oval pipe is attached to the other side of the
859 and continues up between the stud spaces in an interior wall
to the second floor. |
